The collection contains a poetry notebook of hand-written poetry by Wright, 1994-1999; proofs and/or setting copy for "Appalachia," "Negative blue selected later poems," "Night rider," and "North American bear"; typescripts for several individual poems; and translations of three poems by Eugenio Montale. Correspondence is chiefly from fellow poets, fans and colleagues and discusses awards; professional engagements; poems submitted to or accepted by magazines and anthologies; and requests for recommendations, evaluations, and judging of contests. The collection also contains greeting cards; post cards; invitations; clippings; printed miscellaney; contracts and publication agreements; reviews; and writings about Wright including a list of interview questions and his comments concerning both Dante and a reading in Wise County, Va.
